In this day and age it is very important for us to take care of not only ourselves but also our environment and the animals living in it. We use animals in the most horrific ways, all from exploiting them into using them not only for food but also in various products and tests. This is an article completely dedicated to vegan cruelty-free shampoo and conditioners.
I am going to explain what vegan hair care products are and in what way they are cruelty-free, also what the benefits of vegan hair products are as well as cruelty-free hair products. Which is the best cruelty-free hair products, in my own regards, and I will also provide you with a list of cruelty-free and vegan shampoos and conditioners.
What Is Vegan And Cruelty Free
This question is very simple but not a lot of people seem to know the answer. They believe that just because it is cruelty-free it is vegan which is not always the case.
Just because a product is cruelty-free does not necessarily mean it is vegan and vice versa. Just because a product end up being completely vegan, without any animal products, does not mean it has not been tested on animals therefore it is not cruelty-free.
When something is cruelty-free the product has been made without being tested on animals. The product will usually be labeled as cruelty-free. It might have a mark saying “Cruelty Free” or “Not tested on animals”.
When something is vegan it has been made without any animal products as ingredients. The product will a lot of the time be marked as “Vegan”.
Sometimes these two go hand in hand but not always. When they do they might carry the mark of the bunny. Which will state that the product is both Vegan and Cruelty Free.
However, sometimes you do have to do your research which is what I have done for you.
Benefits Of Vegan And Cruelty Free Hair Products
To start of with the obvious and the number one benefit of using these; No animals have been hurt.
Second benefit: No animals have been hurt.
Third benefit: They are usually made with great ingredients from nature that will give your hair amazing nutrients which will lead to beautiful hair that is well nourished and shines like a diamond.
As a lot of the products are well-made they also are without harmful ingredients such as parabens and sulfates.
Both of these ingredients are chemicals that are not really that good for us. Parabens are know to disrupt hormone functions and they also increase the risk of cancer. Sulfates can clog up your pores and create acne, they are also know to cause both skin irritation as well as eye irritation.
All products in this list will not be without parabens and sulfates but some will, as a lot of products do contain this however it is important for you to make your own decision. I personally use both but as much as possible I choose hair care products without sulfates and parabens.

My Favorites And Why
First of all I want to say that I have not tried all these shampoos and conditioners but my goal is of course to try them all.
The ones that I am a frequent user of is The Body Shop´s, Inecto, Maria Nila
and Natures organics.
I absolutely love The body shop and all their products. The shampoo and conditioner was given to me as a christmas present and as I do like how it leaves my skin the strawberry scent was not for me. This has nothing to do with the quality of the product, as I found it to be amazing the sweet smell was just not for me.
Inecto´s products are by far some of the most awesome I have tried.
I love every thing about this company and their whole product line. I am a big coconut fan so the Coconut shampoo and conditioner was a great hit for me. I got the full size shampoo and conditioner given to me in a vegan box a while back, together with their coconut hair oil. I absolutely love this product and it is one that I frequently use.
Maria Nila has some of the best vegan and cruelty-free hair product on the market as far as I am concerned. This is a Swedish company, perhaps this is the reason I adore it, but also, they provide a wide range of different shampoos and conditioners for both non and colored hair. This is a product I like to get from time to time, especially when I have colored my hair.
Natures Organics is probably the only one of these products that I always have in my home – Why? Because it is by far the cheapest one and you can find it pretty much in every grocery store. I always have a “fancy” shampoo and conditioner, if you don´t mind, and a cheaper shampoo and conditioner. The reason is that my hair, with frequent use of the same products, gets greasy, if I change the products once in a while this does not happen. I have no idea why, perhaps someone reading this will. I always use Natures Organics and vary this with another product line.
There are so many great options out there for cruelty-free and vegan products that there is absolutely no reason to continue purchasing other products that will cause harm to both animals and out environment. If you have any products you would like me to try out or anything you would like to see an article on then please let me know in the comment section below.
I appreciate you taking your time to read this.
